Remember when we walked this earth
The Mammoth and the Tiger
We hid from day to day
For life was just survival.
But our love was strong
tho' words were few
For we had not yet learned how
Remember, when we walked this earth
Our Love was our survival.
Remember when we walked this earth
Our world was in such turmoil
The Doomsday Book and Overlords
Our life was just survival.
But our love was strong, and Arthur knew
For the Lady of the Lake had said
Take heed my lord
Their Love is our survival.
Remember my armour, shiny and bright
And your dresses long and flowing.
And the love we made in English woods
While they searched for the Grail.
And the Unicorns played in the trees
So imperial, such splendour
Nothing could harm us then my love
My sword was our defender.
Remember our Buccaneering days
The Jolly Roger flowing free.
With Blunderbuss and Cutlass
We were so young and free.
The sands of Caribbean Islands
Our treasure often buried.
The nights in our stoop cabin
Making Love upon the sea.
Remember now our current years
We've never been so long apart.
In days gone by we've found ourselves
Technology not in the way.
A smaller world then perhaps you say
And the probability seems right.
But this our greatest test is here
Finding our love held down the ages.
We have survived the eons
True throughout the years.
Now the modern era brings
The yearning in my heart.
For Guinevere and things so long past
When we made love in the English woods.
The Unicorn played in the trees
And the world of love was ours.
